The Sioux Indian Nation occupied the
Mississippi Valley in 1885, the year United Machine & Foundry
(then called Diamond Huller Co.) began producing feed
grinders and corn shellers for the growing agricultural
industry of the Upper Midwest.
100 years later the experience gained
in producing abrasion resistant irons (white iron) in
the late 1800's is the foundation for what we do today.
Today, UMF maintains an enviable reputation
for service to the rocks and roads, coal and mining industries
as well as major O.E.M. firms in the cement and asphalt
industries. We tell you what we can do, and we will follow
through. We are confident that, with our people, our
facilities and our knowledge, you can choose no finer
manufacturing partner than UMF. Our paramount goal is
customer satisfaction, with on-time delivery and less
than 1% returns.
